Ryan Whitehead will bring us a 360º talk on the subject of 360º video, from start to finish!

Ryan will speak on the pieces needed to create and display 360º video. From the capture with cameras and recorders to post production stitching and editing. As well as player distribution with IM360 hosting for web and mobile.

Born 1975 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Ryan Whitehead grew up in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada and went on to study recording engineering at The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences.
After graduation, took up work in the film/TV industry in Vancouver. This gave birth to a small production company, NorthStudio 360. The first 360video campaigns were The Nimmo Bay Experience and the journalistic 360video coverage of the Vancouver riots. Soon, Ryan joined forces with the creators of 360 Video.
Immersive Media are the creators of the first 360 video camera and Google Street View. Ryan is currently working hard for Immersive Media traveling the globe on behalf of some the world’s largest brands.

What an amazing discovery to find such an unique group of individuals that holds so much passion, persistence, patience, dedication, innovation and more importantly the spirit in presenting natures beauty all our world. From the top of “Christ the Redeemer” (statue) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and learning about the Brazilian photographer who enjoys extreme heights and likes to wear multiple t-shirts. To the other side of the world at bottom of the Coral Sea in Australia, discovering the challenges of creating underwater 360 panoramas of “The Great Barrier Reef”. Then to the board of IVRPA who were able to put together and organize the great dinners and presenters at B&H Video (which by the way, “Thanks guys, my wife took my credit card away!”) in the Heart of New York City the 2012 IVRPA Members Meeting. And then to everyone else it was a pleasuring meeting you all and looking forward to seeing everyone in Iceland 2013.
