Charles Armstrong - The Vincent van Gogh Effect

Charles Armstrong - The Vincent van Gogh Effect

Charles Armstrong will bring us an talk on how to avoid the tragedy of being another overlooked artisan!

The pano industry is fueled by some of the most passionate, knowledgable professionals of any modern creative industry. But for the past 15 years, this industry has been a lonely space, received by a modest audience. Lack of awareness, difficult technology, and motive misalignment have made it difficult for professionals to get the recognition (and business, if desired) that they deserve. It’s time to do for this industry what the iPhone did to a Blackberry–monopolized smartphone space; re–focus our attention on the broader consumer market. This is not a discussion about the relevance of commercial panoramic photography. This is an acknowledgement that panos are works of art, created to be appreciated. We cannot just sit around and wait for the world to discover our best artists. They must be celebrated today, in their prime.
